The AI Act is on a real streak! Our previous article showcased 24-language defined terms extraction from the AI Act, and now it debuts as the first bilingual Juremy-rendered legal document.
Our motivation is that reading EU legislation in multiple languages can help the reader to better resolve potential ambiguity, or to spot accidental translation errors. As it was pointed out by Michal Bobek and others,
national as well as Community authorities do have the duty, when interpreting Community law, to engage in comparing the various language versions.1
While EUR-Lex already provides bilingual view of legislation, its formatting doesn’t lend itself easily to convenient reading. Especially when deeper structure exists in the content, the EUR-Lex bilingual view flattens that structure:
